We love the vanilla and char notes bourbon gets from aging in oak barrels (but certainly couldn’t fit one in our own kitchen!) To mimic that effect on the stove-top, Brooklyn Brew Shop soaks oak chips in bourbon overnight – then adds them to the boil. The result: a 7% ABV light caramel Belgian dubbel with a bourbon kick.
